Darren is a founding member of Taylor, Chadd, Minnette, Schneider & Clutter. Since 2003 he has focused his practice primarily in the areas of municipal law, general litigation, family law, and criminal defense. His role serving municipal clients includes representing the Boards of Zoning Appeals, Plan Commissions and the police governing bodies, and he has experience in advising the municipal executive bodies and other boards and commissions, as well as representing municipalities in litigation. His family law practice includes all aspects of domestic relations, including divorce, adoptions, and guardianships. Mr. Chadd practiced for several years in the firm’s Lebanon office and he continues to represent clients in several counties. Prior to the firm’s formation, Mr. Chadd practiced at a Carmel law firm for eight years. He previously completed a judicial clerkship for the three Judges in Montgomery County.
Education & Memberships
Darren is a graduate of Wabash College, where he earned his B.A. (cum laude) in 1992. His educational success continued while pursuing his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law—Indianapolis. Darren received the Top Advocate Award, participating in Moot Court Competition, and served as Chief Justice of the Moot Court Board before graduating in 1995. Since 1995, he has been admitted to the Indiana bar and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. Darren’s memberships include the Indiana State Bar Association, the Boone County Bar Association, and Montgomery County Bar Association.
Family & Community Involvement
Darren’s recent memberships have included the Lebanon Kiwanis Club, Ulen Country Club, and the Zionsville United Methodist Church. He has served on the Board of Directors of Indiana Thunder Baseball, Inc. and the Board of Directors for the Montgomery County Boys and Girls Club. He is also a proud husband and the father of three teenage daughters.
